Google Toolbar
The Google Toolbar is a free download that enables Google search functions right in your browser. It also blocks many popups.
In addition to blocking popups, you get Google Search right in your browser, fill in forms with one click, and other cool features.
The Google Toolbar does have one major drawback. It installs
a features that allows the tool bar to send the URL of the sites you visit to
Google. Google does say they do not collect any personally identifiable info about you, and will not sell or provide it to anyone else.
When blocking popups, the cursor changes to a hand with a small fireball-looking graphic on it. The Toolbar counts the number of popups it has blocked.
You can manually allow popups by holding the CTRL key while you click a link. You can also have the app remember sites that you would like to allow popups on.
